Terrace of 4 houses. Late C18 and early C19. Nos 8 & 9 (late C18) multi-coloured stock brick with pitched pantiled roof behind parapet. Nos 10 & 11 (earlier C19 fronts, possibly older behind) stucco with frieze, cornice and blocking course. EXTERIOR: Nos 8 & 9; 3 storeys and basement, 3 bays each. No.8 has recessed panelled door with cornice head in timber doorcase with console bracketed break-front cornice and triangular pediment. No.9 has later, stucco pilasters and entablature to recessed door with panelled reveal and cornice head. Both have gauged, flat brick arches to 4-pane sash windows in stucco lined reveals and with stucco sills. Nos 10 & 11; 3 storeys and basement, 2 bays each. 1st-floor sill string is cornice to ground floor supported by pilasters resting on band at ground floor and flanking doors in outer bays with cornice heads and decorative overlights, and windows. Long, 1st-floor windows have shouldered architraves, cast-iron guards to No.11. 2nd-floor windows have plain reveals and sill band. All windows are sashes with glazing bars. INTERIOR: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: No.11 has decorative cast-iron railings to basement steps.
