Description


TG 2308 NE THE CLOSE 17/182 26.2.54 Nos. 8 and 9 GV II* Pair of houses. Late C18. Red brick with pantile roof. Each house has 3 storeys plus semi-basement and 3 bays. Narrow passage-way bay on extreme left. Panelled door in outer bay with pilasters and simple architrave. Semi-circular fanlight with Adam style tracery. Steps down with simple iron-work railings. Plain door with sash window above in passage bay. Sash windows throughout with glazing bars and rubbed brick flat arches. Modillion cornice.
