Slated and tiled cross-pitched and double pitched roofs with tall brick chimney stacks. 2 storeys, attic and cellar. Original L-plan timber framed house, 3 bays to south, 2 bays to west, appears to have been brick clad mid C19 when 2 bays were added in the angle to form a rectangular plan. Eastern main entrance front with four windows. Central entrance of hood supported on paired wooden brackets flanking sidelights to panelled door. Flush framed mid C19 sashes and casement, mostly with concrete lintels; ground floor right a large tripartite sash. Gabled C16 bay to left has a wide external full height chimney stack with tumbled bricks. Small window in gable to left with some timber truss exposed. Southern garden front with 3 windows. Central French doors with sidelights and 2 & 3-light windows, all of C20 Crittal type. 3 dormers on a tiled roof with dentil brick eaves cornice. Interior reveals original large framing and spinebeams of heavy scantling with carpenters marks and some chamfered stops visible. Roof trusses of a cambered tie beam, queen struts and collar construction with clasped purlins; some curved wall and wind braces visible. South front left hand roof truss removed when roof line altered. Features include 2 C16 ledged doors with strap hinges (probably repositioned), some wide floor boards and C19 fireplaces.
