House and outbuildings. Dated 1731, for Samuel and Ann Myres. Outbuildings wih earlier origins. Coursed squared gritstone, purple slates to main range, stone slates to outbuildings. 2-storey, 3-baby main range with end lobby-entry plan, approximately 5-bay single-storey outbuilding range. Plinth and quoins. Main range: board door right in moulded quoined surround with shallow triangular soffit to large lintel inscribed "1731". Ground- M S A floor windows centre and left: 4-light recessed chamfered mullion windows, each with central mullion removed. Similar but lower 3-light windows above; rectangular 4-pane window to first floor, right. First-floor string course stepped up over door. Bulbous kneelers, gable copings, corniced end stacks. Interior: entrance onto side of main fireplace, the scarfed ceiling beam suggests that there was a large inglenook fireplace originally. A stud partition divides the 2 front rooms from a narrow rear passage. Outbuildings range to right: bay 1: a 2 and 3-light recessed mullion window with inserted light between; doorway with large lintel right, narrow light above. Quoined jambs to double garage doors bay 2, inserted window bay 3, cambered arch to garage doors (former cart entrance) bay 4; byre door bay 5. Interior: the roof of bay 1 has a raised cruck with collar and short king post. Samuel Myres, dishmaker, married Ann Stead in 1723.
