House. Lintel inscribed: "GTA/1767". Stone rubble, plastered to front and left return, with ashlar dressings and slate roof. Central entrance plan. 2 storeys with attic, 3 bays. Front has base, ground floor sill band, modillioned cornice and parapet; quoins. Windows have ashlar surrounds, paired to 1st and 3rd bays, and are sashed with ovolo-moulded glazing bars. Central 1st floor window has dated lintel. 2 flat-topped dormer windows with vertical glazing bars. Entrance has surround swept to base, egg-and-dart moulded shouldered architrave, foliate frieze and consoled modillioned pediment with relief mask; 9-fielded-panel door with leaded upper light. Gable-end stacks and coped gables with kneelers to rear. Left return has 3-light 1st floor window with chamfered opening and flat mullions; attic has small sashed windows with single glazing bars and horns. Entrance has 6 fielded panels, one glazed, over flush panel, enriched latch. Right return has 3-light flat-mullioned window to ground floor, 1st floor has 2-light window in chamfered opening with flat mullion, attic has 2 casements. Rear has sashed window and 2-light windows to 1st floor above but with sashes to ground floor. Tall small-paned stair window and 1st floor sashed window. Interior has cased beams. Hall has dentilled cornice and elliptical archway, with Gothick motif to jambs and soffit, which cuts into cornice. Room to left has dado with fielded panelling below, and modillioned cornices; richly decorated fireplace has eared egg-and-dart architrave, foliate frieze and consoled cornice; cupboard opposite has Corinthian pilasters and pediment, half-glazed doors have glazing bars with intersecting heads. Room to right has dado rail and plainer fireplace. 6-fielded-panel doors with H-L hinges and drop handles throughout. Kitchen has panelled heck partition, brick fireplace and cupboard with fielded-panelled doors. Stair has columns on vase balusters, ramped handrail wreathed at base and square newels, bolection-moulded soffits. 1st floor has 2 fireplaces similar to above, one with late C18 grate.
