House. Late C16 or early , with alterations and additions; earlier, probably late medieval origins. Rendered, with triple-roll tile roof: rear elevation roughly squared rubble stone. centre chimney brick, that to rear of cross wind ashlar, Lobby-entry 2-room plan, one storey with attics, 2-storey parlour cross wing to left, one room extension in line to right. Boarded front door, trellis porch, with elliptical lead-covered roof. To right a 4-light mullion and transom window, heavy timbers with wide chamfer. Similar window to left of front door but with narrow chamfer. cabled cross wing flush to front, projects at rear; Ground floor window off-centre to left, heavy frame with two later iron casements. Above a late c19 sash window, also offset, with, to right at intermediate level a small window. A gable set a little up roof slope above front door and window to left, with a 2-light C19 casement window. Similar window in dormer to right. Scalloped bargeboards to both gables and to dormer. Bay extension to right has door in front wall, first floor door in end gable formerly approached by steps. and a 2-light Rear elevation has a similar 4-light transomed window and a 2-light wood-mullioned window to right end; large roughcast dormer over hall. Left return wall has C17 chamfered architrave to C19 casement with glazing bars and chamfered wood-mullioned 4-light window. Interior: ground floor has quartered stop-chamfered beams to hall and parlour wing, which has timber-framed cross wall. Arched doorheads to this partition and from parlour to hall. First floor has stop- chamfered beams, ceiled over to rear room of parlour wing; lateral timber-framed partition divides narrow front room from rear room above hall, with arched doorhead. Collar-truss roof with trenched purlins. Service end to right, remodelled in late C18, has straight flight service stair and plain beams.
