House, now divided. c1670, extensively remodelled c1710, by addition of rear range and alteration of fenestration. Brick, whitewashed to front. Roof of black glazed pantiles. Main block of 2 storeys in 5 bays. Central panelled door in rusticated doorcase with side lights. Keystones and pediment. Ground floor lit through early C18 sashes with glazing bars and gauged skewback arches. Moulded platband at first floor. Upper windows are cross casements with leaded lights. Gabled roof with re-built internal gable-end stacks. The east gable formerly shaped: shaping remains on rear slope only. C18 two-storey extension abuts to east, also whitewashed brick. 3 bays. Three 2-light cross casements to ground floor, renewed, and one to first floor. Gabled roof with early C18 kneeler to west gable head. Rear elevation dominated by a 3-storey, 2 bay hipped block right of centre lit through sashes with glazing bars in exposed boxes. 3-bay block to west with various sashes and a French window. INTERIOR. Entrance hall leads to staircase hall via a round arch supported on fluted pilasters. Staircase hall is addition to original front range. Open string staircase with 3 twisted balusters on turned bases to each tread. Moulded wreathed handrail and panelled dado. First floor landing has second, 4-centred, arch leading to former drawing room. First-floor windows have ovolo moulded interior jambs. First floor east room with 3 bridging beams elaborated with sunk quadrant mouldings and jewel stops. Plain shouldered chimneypiece. Ground floor east room entered from entrance hall through panelled door with shouldered surround. Large-frame panelling and fluted pilasters each side of blocked fireplace.
