Pair of attached houses. c1823. By James Pigott Pritchett for George Rawson of Denison Hall (qv). Red brick, stone details, slate roof. 3 storeys over basement, 7 first-floor windows. Plinth. Glazed doors with overlights in architrave with console brackets supporting cornice. Fenestration: sashes with glazing bars, some modern replacements; apron panels to ground floor, deep sill band to 1st floor, stone sills to 2nd floor. Central 2nd-floor window to No.39 now blocked. Eaves cornice, end stacks and between properties. INTERIOR: not inspected. In 1823 George Rawson sold the Denison Hall grounds, having commissioned James Pritchett to design housing for Hanover Square.
