Pair of attached houses, now 5 dwellings. C17, extended and refronted early C18 (Nos 7 and 9) and late C18-early C19 (Nos 11 and 15); C20 alterations and additions, including rebuilding, late C20, of No.15A which is not of special interest. Some surviving C17 timber-framing with plastered wattle and daub infill; red brick in Flemish bond; plain tile roof with brick stacks. 2 storeys, part with attic; 4 bays, the 2 on left the oldest and having parallel wings to rear left; C20 rear additions not of special interest. Straight joint between Nos 9 and 11. Platt band. On ground floor the 2 left-hand bays are rendered and have 2 small-pane 3-light windows and old door on right of 4 raised and fielded panels in roll- moulded architrave, under late C20 gabled hood. Right-hand bays have late C20 door in open gabled porch flanked by 3-light windows as before. Similar windows of 3 and 2 lights (the latter on right). Moulded wooden eaves. Roof hipped at left end with 2 gabled dormers having 2-light 8-pane wooden casements. Multiple-flue ridge stack at junction of Nos 9 and 11; rebuilt stack to rear left corner. Rear: 2 old wings on right below hipped roofs with C20 lean-to and on 1st floor 2 inserted windows and a bricked-up window. Interior: No.7 has old 2-panel doors, encased beams, wide floor-boards, and a corner fireplace on each floor (to rear left of front room). In No.9, timber framing of rear and left-hand partition walls are exposed, and roof timbers (including an open truss, a collared queen- post truss, and butt and through purlins). Shallow dog-leg wooden stair with polygonal finial to newel, turned balusters and moulded handrail. Old fireplace on 1st floor, and old panel door with strap hinges at base of attic stair. Interior of Nos 11 and 15 not inspected but seem to have old beams and timber-framed rear wall.
