Formerly known as: Premises occupied by Bradleys (Chester) Limited, No. 11 HIGH STREET.
Pair of houses. Mid C18 remodelling of earlier fabric. Flemish bond brick work, tile roof, brick stacks. Built at one time, but the windows grouped 2 and 1. Behind the parapeted front are 2 wings with hipped outer ends; No. 11 has a further lower wing with a half-timbered gable above later painted brickwork, and the Bank has a low gabled wing of the C19 or C20.
3 storeys, 3-windowed. All tripartite sash with 8:12:8 panes, the first floor windows deeper than those at second floor, all with exposed sash and mullion boxes on stone cills with 4 small brackets, under v-joint splayed lintels. Late C20 shop front to the left, and C19 pilaster surrounds to C20 insertion to the Bank front. Alternating painted stone quoins, stone modillion cornice, blocking course and coped parapet. Stack to right. The wing behind No. 11 has 2 lights above a large elliptical arch, set back behind which is a 6-panel door under a 9-pane light, and a large 16-pane sash. INTERIOR not inspected.
Building work in 1993 revealed a C16/C17 truss to rear.
