Description

ELTON CP SO 47 SW 3/26 Marlbrook Hall GV II Farmhouse. Dated 1781, with mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations. Handmade brick and two-span plain tiled roof, large end stacks to front range with tiled offsets. Two storeys and attic with dentilled eaves cornice. Four bays. Windows are all C20 cross-casements with cambered heads. Central entrance has a C20 gabled timber porch with side lights and a half-glazed C20 door within. Attic lights in gable ends. On the left side of the rear range the date "1781" is written in blue brick headers. The original farmhouse of C17 or earlier date was situated to the south-east of the present farmhouse.
