House. Soon after 1813, for John Parry incorporating c.1675 core. Stuccoed brick (lined as ashlar); slate roof, hipped to rear. Irregular T-plan. 3 storeys. Chamfered grey sandstone plinth, and deep eaves; 2 rendered ridge stacks on rear range. 3 bays; glazing bar sashes; central pair of C20 half-glazed doors with rectangular overlight and stone Tuscan porch with paired columns, entablature, and blocking course, raised in centre. Rear wing of 2 x 2 bays; former C17 doorway to east (now window) with doorcase consisting of stubby Ionic half-columns each supporting short section of frieze, with cornice breaking forward over, and broken triangular pediment. Late C19 canted bay to rear. Interior: fine c.1675 staircase: 3 flights to each storey (rises 2 storeys) with landings around square well, pulvinated closed string, turned balusters, moulded handrail, and square newel posts with recessed corners and moulded caps; interior otherwise early C19 including 6-panelled doors and panelled architraves with paterae at corners.
