Village hall and house. Mid C19, assumed to be by Alfred Waterhouse. Walls of polygonal malmstone with Bath stone dressings (quoins,cill band, plinth): the centre of the front projects as a prominent tapered stack. Prominent tile roof, with a gable to the lower part, and a higher gable to the house: at the (east) side of the house there is a small dormer and a gabled north wing, The building comprises a hall of 4 bays, with a lower eastward extension of 1 bay, linking to a 2-storeyed cross wing (which is the house): at the junction between the main and subsidiary unit is a projecting porch. Bullion and transom casements, The gabled porch is of Gothic form, with a pointed arch beneath a hoodmould and side buttresses. The house part continues the style, and there is an entrance in the angle of the east elevation, with a tiled canopy.
