Town house. Mid C18, with C20 alterations. Red brick laid to Flemish bond with painted stone dressings; slate roof with brick end stacks. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attic; 4-window front on projecting plinth. Right of centre 6-panel door in eared doorcase with panelled reveals beneath moulded flat hood on moulded cantilever brackets. On ground and first floors, windows are 6/6 sashes, some possibly original, with exposed weight boxes, brick sills and gauged brick arches. Attic has large vertical sundial in centre flanked by converted top-hung windows. 2-storey pilasters surmounted by squat single-storey pilasters at the outer angles support sharply moulded cornice at attic level and plain eaves parapet with moulded coping. INTERIOR: open newel staircase with curtail step, cut and bracketed strings and wreathed handrail. Three quarter height panelling in entrance hall, dado panelling in dining room. 4-panel doors throughout house. One first floor room has a mantel with festoons, roundel and dentil features. Much oak floor boarding. Windows have shutters.
