Pair of houses with area railings. 1825, altered C20. Red brick, Flemish bond, slate roof, wrought-iron railings. 3 storeys over basement, each house 5 windows wide with central entrance. Stone steps up to 6-panelled door with semicircular overlight in stone surround with Doric half-columns and open pediments. Sashes with glazing bars to No.13 (right); later replacements left. INTERIOR: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: railings: plain rails with slightly thickened standards, pointed finials. The first houses in the terrace, for the owner of the estate, Julia Lyddon, with kitchen cellars and open views to the S originally. The first tenants were Robert Frost, of independent means, (No.11) and William Willcock, collector of Stamp Duties for the Borough (No.13) who moved from Hanover Square.
