Formerly known as: Albert Villas CLARENDON ROAD. Pair of semi-detached houses, now offices. 1859. By Isaac Dixon. Red brick, Flemish bond, stone details, slate roof. 2 storeys, 6 first-floor windows. Central portico of 3 columns with capitals of foliage with eagles and grapes supporting modillion cornice and blocking course. Paired doors with overlights, one blocked. Plate-glass sashes with segmental heads and stone sills, those to ground floor with keystones, the centre pair on the first floor in keyed architraves. Stone band at first-floor level, deep modillion eaves cornice, hipped roof with ridge stacks at each end. INTERIOR: not inspected. The first occupants were a gentleman and James Bedford who owned a chemical works on Kirkstall Road. Originally called Albert Villas.
