House. C17. Brick in English bond, previously colour-washed and with some render, some flint. Pantile roof, the thatch removed in restoration of 1970's. 3-cell plan with further range to rear, at right angles. North facade of 4 bays, 2 storeys. Brick plinth. Casements. Off-centre 2 storey gabled porch with corner pilasters, rusticated to upper floor. Door frame with ovolo moulding, C19 studded door; inserted fanlight with segmental arch over; moulded brick platband with 2 moulded pediments over. C19 9-light casement to first floor in larger part-blocked opening with moulded brick drops; moulded platband with 2 segmental pediments over; roundel in gable. The left hand bay of the facade has no windows to ground or first floors. some flint below windows. 4 x 3 light casement to ground floor left of porch, 3 x 3 light casement to right both in larger part-blocked openings with moulded brick drops; moulded platband with paired triangular pediments over each window. Corner pilasters with remains of render imitating ashlar. 2 first floor casements again in larger openings with brick drops. Parapet gables; large off-centre axial stack. C20 sun-room to right hand (west) gable; moulded platband between ground and first floors; casement to first floor with moulded brick drops; platband with 2 triangular pediments,over window; attic window again with drops and triangular pediment over. Moulded brick platband continues on rear wall for one bay with sash at ground and first floor levels. Stair bay, probably C19, now with flat roof across rest of this elevation. East gable wall has 2 3-light leaded casements to ground floor; brick drops; moulded platband with triangular pediment over each window. 3-light leaded casement to first floor possibly with original frame having ovolo moulding; drops; platband; 2 triangular pediments over. C20 casement to attic in larger part-blocked opening with drops, platband and segmental pediment. Corner pilasters with remains. of render imitating ashlar. Running south, at a skew from east gable is a contemporary range of 3 bays, 2 storeys. C20 window to right and blocked doorway to first bay, then a 6-light leaded casement with drops; third bay blank. Moulded platband with triangular pediment over casement and blocked door. Upper floor with casement with drops; gable-end stack now incorporated in a range which continues south, a single storey bay with eaves raised c1970. The rear of the C17 range is rebuilt in C18 Flemish bond brick with black headers. Interior. Archway knocked through main stack giving access to stair outshut. Ovolo-moulded beams to ground and first floor beams, with elaborately decorated stops in the northern range. On ground floor, the 2 bays to left of stack now made into one room; mortices in underside of beam. C18 roof with staggered purlins.
