House, early C18, of red brick, colourwashed brick with thatched and slate roofs. Early C18 3 cell house, extended to east in late C18 and to south east in late C19, forming 'L' shaped plan of 2 storeys, in part, double pile. C19 wing has attics. West facade, 3 windows with central 6 panel door with fanlight and glazing bars. C19 doorcase, with panelled reveals, pilasters and projecting cornice. Doorcase flanked by single light casements. C19 casements with transom and glazing bars on ground floor and 2 light casements with glazing bars at first floor. Low brick plinth, platband at first floor level. Flat gauged brick arches. Gable walls have platband at first and attic floor level, with blocked oculus to north. Parapet gables with brick kneelers, tumbling-in, and end stacks. Later C18 wing has French casements with flat gauged brick arches on ground floor with sash windows with glazing bars above. Platband at first floor level and brick dentil eaves. Thatched hipped roof and axial stack. C19 wing has asymmetric canted bay with hipped roof. Sash windows with flat gauged brick arch. Plinth and platband at first floor level. Slate roof with parapet gable and end stack. Lean-to conserva- tory on east and south wall. Single storey buildings attached to north not of special interest.
