House. 1679 with earlier core, facade refenestrated early C19. Scored stucco with ashlar plinth. Stone slate roof. L-plan with 2-storey lean-to in re-entrant angle on left return; lower service buildings attached to rear. 3 storeys, 3 bays. Central doorway with chamfered surround, lintel inscribed P RE 1679
hoodmould and 2-light mullioned overlight. Ground and 1st floors have 16-pane sashes in raised surrounds. 2nd floor has shortened 12-pane sashes in similar surrounds. Gabled roof with flat coping and corniced end stacks.
On right return, early C19 pedimented Tuscan porch with panelled door. To left 12-pane sashes. To right, on each floor a 4-light mullioned window with hoodmoulds.
Interior: Drawing room has late C17 panelling with bolection-moulded fireplace and dado rail, moulded skirting boards and cornice. Dining room has similar panelling, and early C17 stone fireplace with multi-moulded surround and Tudor- arched lintel. Study has fireplace with bolection-moulded surround and Delft tiles. Hall has inserted C17 fireplace with surround carved in relief with stylised oak leaves; also moulded beams. Back stair has splat balusters. Main stair a replacement of c.1930 with splat balusters. 2-panelled doors throughout.
