Railway Station. Mid C19. Probably by T.C. Hine architect to Nottingham/Lincoln line. Yellow brick, some ashlar with raised ashlar quoins. Slate roof, decorative bargeboards. 2 yellow brick ridge stacks. Single storey plus attic and single storey, 5 bays, the right single bay being single storey and the 2nd right single bay gabled and projecting. Extending over the ground floor left 3 bays is a slate lean-to hood, supported on the left by a portion of wall and further supported on 2 wooden posts. The single left bay projects, the front and right walls being wooden plank. To the right is a single glazing bar fixed light and further right a chamfered doorway with part glazed door. In the side wall of the projecting bay is a chamfered doorway with vertical panelled door, the front wall has a single storey, single canted bay with parapet and single tripartite cross fixed light flanked by a single similar single light fixed lights, the right side wall has a single similar single fixed light. On the far right is a single 2-light fixed light. Above is a single gabled half dormer with single 2-light casement and in the gabled bay a single cross casement. The road front has a single storey , single canted bay with stone slate roof and single tripartite cross fixed light flanked by single similar single lights. To the right, slightly set back, is the side wall of the lean-to with blocked chamfered doorway and to the left, slightly set back is a lean-to porch with chamfered arched entrance. All openings have raised ashlar quoin surrounds. Further left, set back, is a single storey wing with single glazing bar sash.
