Lodge cottage. 1824. Ashlar, red brick to rear, slate roof with lead dressings, raised stone coped gables having moulded kneelers, 3 ridge stacks; the 2 on the front range are highly ornate, that on the left has barley sugar decoration, that to the right has paired diamond shaped tunnels. T-plan. 3 bay single storey front with plinth, moulded eaves and gutter, centre gabled bay advanced. The off-centre glazed door with overlight is set back from the facetted opening with hood mould and date of 1824 over the centre. The central canted oriel with chamfered mullions and glazing bar lights has a swept base and facetted ashlar roof with knop. Above is a carved and painted coat of arms of the Duke of Newcastle. To left a 2 light mullioned window with hood mould.
