BANBURY CROUCH STREET SP4540SW (South side) 9/33 Nos.3 to 6 (consecutive) 07/10/69 GV II

Four houses in terrace. c.1840. Stuccoed brick, slate roofs, brick end stacks. 2 storeys plus attic; 4-window range altogether. Ground floor has 6 entrances with 4-centred arched heads and hood moulds with head stops. These include 2 doorways in rear passages. Panelled doors. Ground floor windows have square heads and Gothick glazing bars. 4 similar windows to first floor. Small pointed arched windows between the sets of houses. Gable fronted attics have pointed arched windows with intersecting glazing bars and hood moulds, some with head stops. Carved bargeboards with pendant to Nos.4,5 and 6. String course below first floor windows. Interiors not inspected. (V.C.H.: Oxfordshire, Vol.X, p.36).
