Farmhouse. C18 incorporating parts of an earlier structure in the long rear wing. Sandy red brick, W front chequered in red with grey headers. Steep old red tile roofs, hipped on front block. A rectangular 2 storeys, cellar and attics house facing E with a long 2-storeys rear wing at NW and catslide extension of roof over added porch in the rear angle. Symmetrical E front 3 windows wide with central door. Plinth and dentilled corbelled eaves band. Tall sash windows with 6/6 panes and flat gauged arches on both floors. 6-panel door (top 2 glazed: 2 fielded: bottom flush beaded) up 3 stone steps in wooden doorcase with panelled reveals, reeded pilasters, open triangular pediment, and ornamental cresting on wall above. The ends have a similar central window under segmental arch to each floor, a box dormer on the roofslope, and the N end has steps leading down to cellar entrance below early C19 canted bay window to ground floor with triple sash window. The rear range faces the yard on the N, with 3 3-light casement windows to 1st floor, door between 1st and 2nd window from W end, and 4-, 2-, 3-, and 2-light casement windows under cambered arches reading from E to W. There is a large chimney at the junction of the 2 wings and the front one has a chimney projecting from the rear wall of its S part. The W room of the rear range is still open to the roof with a gable chimney and stone sink complete with hand pump. It has a door at high level as if the adjoining room on the 1st floor were intended for accommodation of farm staff separate from the household. 2 moulded plank doors, 2-panel C18 doors on 1st floor, and 3-bay clasped purlin roof with vertical queen-posts in front block intended for attics with stair rising full height, with cut string, ornamented tread ends, stick balusters, turned newels, and moulded rail.
