Detached cottage. C19 Local lias stone cut and squared; Welsh slate roof with overhung gables; concrete block end chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 3-bays, with extension to north gable. 2-light lattice casements in 3-centre arched openings, each light having 3-centre arched head and ornamental leadwork; no window upper bay 2, instead a decorated roundel, possibly Coade stone; lower bay 3 has 6 flush panel door, glazed toplight in segmental arched head, set in rustic timber porch with pitched stone slated roof: single storey extension to north has 3 light casement window under large timber beam. Interior not seen. Originally the Village School, it became the Reading Room before being converted to a house.
