School house and former schoolroom. Mid C19. Local lias stone cut and squared, Ham stone dressings; plain clay tile roof between coped gables, with ornamental clay tile ridge to schoolroom and bellcote, without bell, on west gable; stone chimney stacks. House 2 storey, schoolroom single storey; House L-plan of 2 bays east elevation and gable + 1 bay return, schoolroom 3 bays attached to west gable of house. West Street (North elevation) has hollow chamfer mullioned windows, with labels; 2 light to lower gable, and 3 light at both levels next bay. Schoolroom has 3 plain chamfered mullioned and transomed windows; two small steel casements added to house gable. East elevation of house has 3 and a 2 light mullioned window above and mid C20 steel casements below. Entrances on south side, which has timber and tiled verandah and casement windows to house. Extension of C19 and C20 to west gable of schoolroom. Interiors not seen. House good example of the traditional style frequenty used by local land owning family, the Pinneys, in Somerton: they built this school and rebuilt, for instance, the Tudor Cottage, Market Place (qv).
