Manor house. Garden front. Early and mid/late C17 with extension of 1933. Early C17 main body ashlar with mid/late C17 extension and 1933 extension of both of coursed squared limestone right. Late C17 extension to rear of main body ashlar limestone. Limestone extension to rear of main body ashlar limestone. Limestone slate roofing to all with slightly pointed coping on early C17 main body and mid/late C17 extension. Early C17 block and late C17 have ashlar gable end stacks with moulded tops and skirtings, another off centre right of main body. Plan: early C17 main body with porch off centre right, mid/late C17 extension right with 1933 extension attached far right. Small outshut overlapping junction of early C17 and mid/late C17 extension right. Late C17 extension to rear of main body. Facade: 2 storeys and attic. 2 flush gables left of 2 storey porch with attic also. Single flush gable right of porch. Attic storey is lit by single lights in moulded stone surrounds with leaded panes, some with original window glass. Similar light to porch gable with sundal finial also. Principal gable of mid/late C17 extension with ball finial right. 1933 2-storey extension far right. The whole 2:1:3 windowed. 3, 4 and 5-light, flat-chamfered, stone-mullioned windows, some original some C19 replacements. One window with King mullion. Stopped hoods over. C20 glazed door to porch with 4- centred arched surround with spandrels. Late C17 extension to rear has flat-chamfered mullioned and transomed windows. Interior: Late C17 open-well staircase with balusters and closed string in late C17 extension at rear. Doorway to cellar below stairs with early, studded oak door with thumb latch and strap hinges, formerly door to garden front porch. Drawing room: far left at rear with some original panelling. Library: main body, front with large stone fireplace with bread oven and niche, plain stop-chamfered beams painted alternately with red and green floral patterns on lower surfaces, zig-zag patterns on sides. Room front right with small 4-centred arched fireplace.
