Sunshelter, now shop and amusement arcade. 1928-29 by Basil C. Deacon of Franklin and Deacon of Luton. Rendered with pantiled roof. One storey with projecting hipped pavillions flanking curved arcade of Doric columns in antis, eleven bays in all, with frieze and projecting modillion eaves cornice. All eleven bays with original metal-traceried rectangular fanlights but only left four bays with original metal French doors, the others later C20 replacements, side pavilions with boarded doors in doorways with cornices, and with metal framed side lights. A match, but not identical, to the western quadrant, built with the bandstand (now boating pond - see separate items).
