House. Early C17, altered in C19, restored 1984 after fire in 1930s. Red brick with occasional grey headers in English bond with plain tile roof. 2 storeys, attics and cellar on brick-coped plinth with plat band. Hipped roof. Projecting stack to left end and large brick ridge stack of 6 rectangular flues on coped brick plinth off-centre to right. C20 hipped dormer to rear. Irregular fenestration of brick mullioned and transomed windows four C19 and early C20 and one C17, the latter of 2 tiers of 2 lights, rendered. 5-light mullioned and transomed windoy with hollow-chamfered mullions on ground floor to right of porch. Small gabled brick porch on low plinth with chamfered circular side-lights, towards left end. Small wood bell-frame to left end of ridge. Right side elevation has very short 2-storey projection with hipped roof, at right-angles towards rear, rear wall of which is a continuation of rear elevation. Short rear return wing to left, also integral, with large projecting brick stack to either side. Interior: Several C17 window catches. Roof of aligned butt side purlins in short bays, with collars, only part remaining. Ground and first-floor fireplaces in left stack of left wing retain virtually complete. Painted plasterwork within the fireplaces black on white ground On ground floor, repeating circular pattern to splayed sides, chequered pattern to back, leaving narrow central gap for fire. First floor repeating triangular pattern to splayed sides, floral design winding up back, again with gap.
