LOWER ALLITHWAITE CARTMEL SD 3778 8/48 Grayson Memorials approx 20m south of Priory Church G.V. II 2 chest tombs. Late C18. Ashlar. Both tombs have nook balusters to angles and tops with rounded edges and relief designs with skull and cross bones and winged hour glass. That to north records Robert, mariner (died 1739), Elizabeth (died 1749) and their children. That to south records Jane Grayson (died 1782) and Mary Bere (died 1793).
