Former school and schoolmaster's house, now parish hall and house: dated 1877 by John Douglas for the 1st Duke of, Westminster. Schoolmaster's house has English garden wall band orange brick with red sandstone dressings and planted timber framing on the upper storey. Red tile roof and 2 lateral brick chimneys. 2-storey, 3-bay west front. Stone plinth and stringcourses. Central doorway behind oriel window supported on wooden columns on low stone walls. 4-centred arched doorcase under label mould. Door of tall vertical panels with iron strap hinges. 3-light casement above and to left is a 5-light stone mullioned window. Pair of small outbuildings with hipped roofs attached. Right gable has canted stone bay window below upper storey jettied out on wooden brackets. Date on tiebeam over 4-light casement.

School in ashlar red sandstone, connected to house by 1-storey passage. Has 1-storey, 5-bay south front under hipped roof with bellcote incorporated at the left end. Central 3 bays have 4-light mullioned and transomed windows with 4-centred arched lights above a continuous sill band. Each has stone-coped and finialled gable above. Door at left with 4-centred arched head and 4-light mullioned window at right end. 3 small gabled ventilators in roof. Additional hipped porch at right end with similar doorcase. Interior: One large room open to roof, with mansard shaped trusses, which can be divided by sliding half-glazed panels. Small classroom to rear and cloakrooms at either end.
