Description


FYLINGDALES CROSS KELD TROUGH NZ 9405 16/72 Hooks House II Farmhouse. Probably third quarter of C18; two builds, the later right part perhaps early C19 raising of older low buildings. Ashlar left part. Herringbone-tooled right part over coursed, roughly-tooled ground floor. Pantiled roof with stone features; brick chimneys. Left part 2 storeys, 2 windows. Off-centre panelled door under lintel with narrow chamfer. Ground floor replaced tripartite sashes, first floor replaced 20-pane sashes, all with extended keyed lintels and projecting cills. In right part a four-panel door and a boarded door with glazed panel; tripartite sash between and small fixed light at right. 2 20-pane sashes over. Both sections have first-floor bands. Stone gable copings on curved kneelers. Older part has end chimneys; right part has rebuilt ridge and right end stacks. Rear elevation 4 wide bays, irregular with varied windows. Interior: boxed and corniced fire beam in dining-room and small cupboard on right.
