House. Late C17. Coursed gritstone, pantile roof with eaves courses of stone slates. Lobby-entry plan, 2 storeys, 2 rooms deep, 4 bays. Long and short chamfered quoins. Central C20 board door with rectangular overlight in moulded stone architrave. All windows have stone sills and lintels and C20 wooden cross-mullions. Band at first-floor level springs forward slightly above openings. Paired stone gutter brackets, ashlar coping and shaped kneelers. Large central stack. Left and right gable ends have small rectangular board doors in double-chamfered stone surrounds. Interior: front room left has large stone fireplace with roll moulding. Early to mid C18 staircase with turned balusters. Single-storey addition to left: C20 bow window, pantile roof and gable coping. Formerly an apothecary's shop. NYCVBSG Report , No 772.
