Terrace of houses, originally chauffeur's cottage and laundry for The Close. c1895. Tudor in style. Red brick in English bond with a plain tile roof. Single storey plus attics, 12 bays. Bays 2 and 11 break forward and are gabled. In the re-entrant angles between these and the outer bays are slightly advanced ½ bays with shaped Dutch gables to outer sides, board doors under consoled cornice to fronts, and cross staircase windows to sides. Gabled bays have shaped quoins, 5-light canted bay windows with 4- light casements above. In gables, brick bond patterning and 2 proud diapers. 2 central bays and 2 to left of right-hand gabled bay have 3-light casements. 2 bays to right of left-hand gable have small 2-light casements at eaves level (garage). other 2 bays break forward with stepped round- arched doorcases with radiating brick voussoirs and banded rustication, below gableted hipped roofs. 4 large banded ridge stacks, those next to gabled bays sit on Dutch gables. Axial stack to rear left-hand side with paired octagonal flues. Left and right returns have gabled bays with 4- light casements to both floors and similar detailing as advanced bays to front.
