14/222 Little Grange II
House, late C17th. Slobbered rubble with sandstone dressings and modern tile roof. 2-unit central-entry plan with gable stacks. 2 storeys. Facade has chamfered mullioned windows with individual label moulds. To the left of the door is a window of 4 lights with sill lowered. To the right of the door is a 2-light window. On the 1st floor there is a 3-light window to the left and one of 2 lights to the right. Rear (north) wall has doorway with plain reveals and re-set battlemented lintel incised '1675'. To the left is a 2-light rebated and chamfered mullioned window with jambs and mullion extended, with a similar window above on the 1st floor, but having a label. To the right of the door is a one-light chamfered window with a label, at an intermediate height. Further right is a tall blocked chamfered stair window of mid C18th type with 2 transoms. Inside there is a fireplace in the left-hand room from a demolished cottage on the corner of Slyne Road and Throstle Grove. It has chamfered sides and a triangular head with '1697 EMB' and a mantel treated as a cyma cornice.
