Farmhouse. C17 and late C18-early C19 with later extensions. Square-panelled timber framing with painted brick infill. Late C18-early C19 extension painted brick. Stone slate and artificial stone slate roof with an ashlar stack, repaired in brick and an octagonal ashlar stack. 'L'-shaped main body with extension creating a 'T'-shaped plan. C20 part-glazed lean-to corridor against right-hand return of the C17 main body. Two-storeys and attic to both parts. Entrance front; gable projects forwards on right with three-light casement with glazing bars to ground floor. Two-light casements to first floor and attic. All windows within cambered arched surrounds. Bands over ground or first floor. Later C19 or C20 gabled extension with C20 plank front door under an open-sided lean-to canopy to left. Sixteen-pane top opening casement to timber-framed main body left of door. C20 glazed French doors in left gable end. Ends of the beams projecting slightly from the rear wall. Projecting part limestone stack from right-hand return of extension with tall octagonal shaft. Interior; panelled room to left of the front door within timber- framed range contains deep flat-chamfers with beaded mouldings. The rear wing is reputed to contain arched braced trusses.
