NAUNTON VILLAGE STREET SP 12 SW (s side 5/79 Mill House 25.8.60 (previously listed as Mill House amd Corn Mill ) GV II
Converted mill and mill house. C17 with mostly C18 mill no machinery). Irregular. 2 storeys, rubble with Cotswold stone roofs and coped verges; slightly angled; mill buildings to left, dwelling to right. The latter is T-plan main block in 2 parts; the left part has 2 mullioned windows on 1st floor (2 & 3 lights), modern 4-centred door on ground floor and flanking windows, the left hand one in plain archway way. Projecting wing to front in centre of dwelling with 4 gabled dormers, 3 mullioned windows, a lancet light and a modern door to left. The right hand part of the house is largely concealed by the roofs from this wing but one gabled dormer and a mullioned window appear. The mill (now mostly converted) has 4 windows with C20 glazing and a former wagon-entry on the ground floor, now a window. Projecting coach house to left with 2 arched and a segment-headed entry separated by piers with impost mouldings. The roof re- tains the characteristic sack hoist housing. Projecting wing to rear. This house forms an important terminal feature to the village.
