Detached house; C17; heavy timber frame with brick nogging on random rubble plinth to right, coursed, squared stone to left; tiled roof with slate eaves course along road facade only. Square plan; 2-storey. Towards road: in stone on left boarded door with 4-pane fixed-light to left, under timber lintel, with, a little above, plain hoodmould for slightly narrower opening. 3- light wooden mullion and transom window above, iron opening lights, heavy timber lintel above frame, with plain stone hoodmould. Similar 2-light window at half-level at right end of stone section. Timber framing to road 2-panel high ground floor, 3-panel first, with angle struts between main posts and wall plate. 2-light timber window on ground floor. 3-light casement first floor, with iron opening light; later small single-light window to left. Left return 2 rendered gables. Right 2-bay timber-framed, 2-panel high each floor: eaves slightly lower than front: angle braces between main posts and wall-plate. French door on left, with 4- light casement to right, both with weatherboard above. May have been formerly 2 windows to first floor, now blocked. Roof hipped this end. Chimney in centre with diagonally-set flues: tops rebuilt in brick.
