House. Late C17 entirely rebuilt early C18. Brick, rendered and colourwashed to street facade. Plain tiled roof. Facade of 2 storeys and dormer attic in 5 bays. Centre bay broken forward. Central doorcase comprising a pair of engaged Doric columns supporting a segmental pediment and containing a 6-panelled door. Sash windows with glazing bars. Flat plat band at first floor, rusticated quoins close elevation and a central pediment rises over a timber modillion eaves cornice. Tall hipped roof with a gabled dormer to each face except the west. The north return is elongated into a hipped wing with a gabled dormer to its west face. West front of this wing in 2 bays. A c1970 conservatory obscures ground floor below two first-floor C18 sashes with glazing bars and scalloped sash hoods. South return with canted late C18 bay window. INTERIOR. This bay window has fluted and reeded pilaster strips. Front door opens into combined staircase/entrance hall. Open-string early C18 staircase rises to balcony return over doorway: carved tread-ends, 2 vase and turned balusters to each tread and ramped handrail. Turned newels on square section pedestals. Matching dado rail imposed on C17 plank and muntin panelling. Upper flights are late C17: closed-string, sturdy vases below taper-turned balusters, moulded straight handrail. Stair well at this point and above reveals timber studwork. First floor room to north with large-frame panelling of early C18. Main roof of principals, collars and clasped purlins. Many renewed common rafters.
