II
Water mill. Early C19 with mid C20,conversion. Coursed squared gritstone, grey slate roof with eaves course of stone slates. Three storeys, four bays, quoins. C20 glazed door bay two; nine-pane casement windows throughout below plain lintels, that to bay three first floor blocked. Stone gutter brackets; shaped kneelers and gable copings; banded stack left, base of large chimney stack right.
The mill was constructed over the Cockhill beck but the wheel was removed when the building was converted to steam power.
