House. Late C17/early C18. Coursed, squared limestone rubble with brick gable stack and stone slate roof. Single-depth plan. 2 storeys and attic; 2-window range. A central doorway with C20 door. Rear has 2-window range with first-floor windows just breaking the eaves. The return and rear have thick coarse rubble plinths below the ground-floor including a weathered coping course, and possible herring bone stonework to the bottom of the roughcast gable. INTERIOR: not inspected. HISTORICAL NOTE: the thick lower walls and coping to the rear possibly formerly part of the old town wall, which was on or near the site.
