Description

WOODSTOCK PARK STREET SP4416NW (South side) 9/228 Nos.13 and 15 and attached 13/02/69 walls and outbuilding (Formerly listed as No.13, No.15) GV II Two houses. Early C19, with C17 origins. Coursed limestone rubble, with ashlar front; gabled stone slate roof, with concrete tiles and Welsh slates to rear; brick end and ridge stacks. Double-depth plan. 3 storeys; 3-window range. Wrought-iron scroll brackets support early C19 six-pane sash with overlight to right and C20 door to left. Two canted bay windows to centre, both with dentilled cornices and with C20 windows to left and 4- and 6-pane sashes to right. Keyed flat stone arches over 6-pane sashes. Raised storey bands; moulded wood eaves cornice. Two gabled wings to rear; C20 kitchen extension to rear left. Interior: panelled doors set in moulded architraves; early C19 quarter-turn stairs with winders; stone steps to barrel-vaulted cellar, which has C17 two-light stone-mullioned window set in wall of rear wing. L-shaped wall attached to rear left, of approximately 10 x 8 metres and of limestone rubble with stone slate coping; is attached to late C17 and C18 outbuilding facing Rectory Lane, of limestone rubble with gabled concrete tile roofs and butt-purlin roof trusses.
