House. C17 with C19 alterations and additions. Roughcast; C20 plain tile roof (originally stone tiles) with two gables to south front; 3 stuccoed, rendered, and brick stacks. E-shaped on plan. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and cellar; 5-window range: C19 2/2 sashes in stucco architraves, under moulded hoods; cornice to stone-coped stucco parapet. Central entrance: porch with 6-fielded-panel door in panelled reveals, in cambered architrave under moulded and modillioned pediment with Adamesque decoration, on attached Tuscan columns; parapet; sidelights; flanked by 2/1 sashes in stucco architraves. Advanced wings have similar 2/2 (blocked) sashes over 2/1 sashes, to right; to left, 2/2 sashes over early C20 mullion and transom window with leaded lights, in shouldered architrave, with hood. Right returned side: C19 wings to rear. Rear: C18 and C19 brick; rubble wings; scattered fenestration, with margin-glazing, and leaded cross-window; C19 part-glazed, panelled door; date-stone (now erased) "1687"; two C18 rainwater heads. INTERIOR: Adamesque frieze to Chapel; Edwardian panelling and staircase with splat balusters.
