House, now two dwellings. Late C14/C15, remodelled in early C17. cruck-framed clad in C17 coursed limestone rubble; gabled concrete tile roof; stone left end stack finished in C19 brick. Two-unit plan, with former open hall to left. One storey and attic; 2-window range. Timber lintels over central C20 door, blocked door to right and C20 casements; mid C20 dormer windows. Flanked by mid C20 extensions. Interior of No 9 has quartered chamfered beams with central medallion, dating from insertion of floor in early C17; former open hall retains pair of late C14/C15 stop-chamfered raised crucks with collar, mortices for butt collar, mortices for butt purlins to lower stage and trenching for purlins to upper stage; crucks are tenoned into yoke, on which rests ridge purl in which is housed in stone wall to left; ridge purlin rests on yoke and king post to right which is enclosed within straight-principal truss with smoke-blackened wattle and daub partition.
