Originally two houses. The front dates largely from the C19 (red brick and curved tiles), but the house itself is older, the eastern half of two storeys and attic is possibly C15. It contains ceiling beams and a good fireplace. The west half is an extension of three storeys.

Nos 6 to 16 (consec), The Studio Chambers, and Hope Anchor Hotel form a group.
