House. 1896; by Frederick Bath of Salisbury; extended later C20. Flemish bond red brick with moulded brick and stone dressings. Welsh slate hipped and gabled roof with plastered coved eaves and terracotta ridge-tiles with finials. Lateral stack at front with moulded brick shaft.
PLAN: Asymmetrical plan with central entrance hall with stair-well behind; service wing at rear [N] and later C20 extension on right [E] side. Queen Anne/Dutch style.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 4-bay south front, with 2-storey square bay at angle on left [SW] corner with ornate terracotta gable, large 2-storey semi-circular bay on right, 2-storey porch to right of centre with oriels corbelled out on each corner with moulded brick panel and tall brick stack between, over elliptically arched doorway with side-lights and glazed door and screen inside; in the angle on left of porch a semi-circular bay with brick pilasters, dentilled cornice and cupola above. Left-hand [W] return, 2-storey canted bay window on left and small moulded brick aedicule panel on first floor; stair window at back, and rear wing set back on left. Sash windows with ornate pattern of glazing bars at top, those on SW corner bay with wheel pattern of glazing bars.
INTERIOR: Entrance hall has moulded wooden arch across; staircase with turned balusters and newels.
