Part of house converted to 2 or 3 cottages, now house. Early C16 with C17 improvements, divided in C19, united mid-C20. Plastered cob on rubble footings; rubble stacks topped with C19 brick; wheatreed thatched roof. Main block facing south is hall and inner room of C16 3-room-and-through-passage house and C17 rear block at right angles behind inner room. Rear lateral stack projecting from hall, first floor gable end stack at right end and gable end stack to rear block. 2 storeys. 2 window front of C19 3-light casement windows with diamond pane leaded lights (2 replaced 1984). Plank door at left end with flat-arch headed window, tiled C19 hood on shaped brackets and vallance. Rear block has balanced 2 window front of late C19 and C20 casements with central door and porch similar to that at front. Door in gable end of main block has Victorian post box to left. Early C16 2-bay roof on side-pegged jointed cruck truss over main block is smoke blackened from original house divided by low partitions and heated by open hearth fire. Features below are C17; hall crossbeam is chamfered with scroll stops and axial inner room beam is chamfered with straight cut stops. Winder stair from inner room to chamber over which has volcanic ashlar fireplace with ovolo-moulded oak lintel with scroll stops. Late C16-early C17 rear block may originally have been a separate building (the cob wall between blocks is said to have been blind). It has 2 bay roof on side-pegged jointed cruck roof truss, chamfered cross beam with step stops, large rubble fireplace with chamfered oak lintel and stone side oven.
