Description

COSTOCK OLD MAIN ROAD SK 52 NE (east side) 5/8 Cherry Tree Cottage and attached out- buildings II Cottage and outbuildings. Early and mid C18, some C19 alterations. Whitewashed brick. Pantile roof. Right gable and single ridge red brick stacks. Rendered coped gables with kneelers and plinth to mid C18 build. Lobby entry plan. 2 storeys, 4 bays. The right single bay projects, is gabled with bargeboard and is early C18. Doorway with 6 fielded panel door, the top 2 panels now glazed, C19 hood. Either side are single glazing bar Yorkshire sashes under segmental arches. In the gabled bay is a single glazing bar casement and in the side/left wall a doorway with stable door and to the right a single small fixed light. Above are 2 glazing bar Yorkshire sashes and in the gabled bay a single small glazing bar casement. Over the doorway are 2 insurance plaques. To the left is a single storey 2 bay outbuilding with brick coped left gable and kneeler. Pantile roof. 2 large doorways with double doors. Further left and set back is a lower red brick and pantile 3 bay outbuilding with brick coped left gable and kneeler. Doorway with plank door flanked by single C20 casements.
