Small country house. Mid C18, S refronted later C18, with C19 additions and alterations. Red brick. Slate roofs. 3 storeyed main block, with 3 storeyed block to rear, 2 storeyed addition to NE and single storeyed block to NW. Main block, S elevation: 5 window range, the central bay breaking forward slightly. The central windows are tripartite sashes, the first floor one apparently masking the original round-headed opening. Outer windows are all sashes. All have glazing bars and and gauged brick heads. Semi-circular Doric porch has fluted pilasters and columns, and radiating plasterwork decoration to ceiling. 6 panel door, flanked by sidelights with almond-shaped glazing bars, and surmounted by semicircular fanlight with radiating glazing bars. Plain parapet with stone dressings. Multiple stacks to side elevations. NW block: includes wing in 'Gothick' style, visible to N elevation. This is of chequered brick, and has stone dressed embattled parapet. 2 tripartite sash windows with ogee heads and interlacing glazing bars flank single sash window in similar style. This single sash replaces a glazed door. The surrounds and finials of the LH window are of stone, those to the RH of wood. Interior: almost completely reworked C19.
