Detached house. Possibly late C17/early C18 core, enlarged in late C18 to double range, extended twice to west during Cl9 and also small addition on entrance front probably of mid C19. Random coursed rubble stone mostly ashlar faced and partly rendered, with slightly raised alternating quoins, stone slate roofs, hipped to outer side of each block, with moulded stone cornice and blocking course to garden front and right hand return, stone end stacks with offset and moulded cornice. Main double range of 3 storeys, single west range of 2 storeys and attic, single-storey to far west. Garden front to south has two 16-pane sashes to left, three 12-pane sashes to main range with 9-pane above, all in plain reveals and with sill band right across at first floor level. Ground floor has tripartite plate glass sash to far left and half- glazed double doors to right on left hand wing; two large segmental bows with 12/20/12-pane sashes flanking central three quarter glazed door. Entrance front to north has single-storey entrance bay with 6-panel door to far left and 3-bay, 2-storey addition to right with three 12-pane sashes over 3 large blind segmental arched recesses. West side of rear range retains heavy chamfered wood mullion to window in cellar and on second floor. Interior contains much original joinery including stick baluster stair with wreathed and ramped handrail up to first floor continued on with turned balusters above and straight rail.
