SPRING GARDEN LANE 1. 5232 Railway Inn SU 6100 5/109 II GV 2. Early C19, on corner of Forton Road. Three-storeys, dropping to 2 on Forton Road frontage. Three windows. Slate roof and inter-locking tile, hipped on corner, brick eaves band with coupled dentils. Yellow brickwork in Flemish bond, (painted at north end and return) flat arches. Sashes; to south a 2-storeyed bay, to right bay on first and second floor. Corner with Forton Road comprises an elaborate pub front, with coarse classical pilastered treatment, cast iron columns giving intermediate support to the 2 and 3-light windows, panelled dado, plinth, entrance on corner angle.
